This is an enjoyable walk with the dog - however the start did have a fair amount of road walking. In hind sight maybe I should have done it backwards so Bramble was tired when she was on the lead.
Park - The top of the Mount in Guildford. Near Henley Fort
1. Walk down the hill towards Guildford town centre. On your right you will see a cemetery. Next to the cemetery is a footpath. Turn right down this footpath. There is a chapel and cemetery on the left. Feel free to take a detour to see Lewis Carroll's Grave.

2. When you come to the road, Beech Lane, Left and continue down the hill. Cross over Guildown Road at the bottom and Continue down Chestnut Avenue.
3. Turn Right onto Portsmouth Road and then Right again onto Sandy Lane following signs for the North Downs Way.
4. Watch out for the footpath on the right - this is the North Downs Way. Turn down here.
5. After a while you will come to Piccard Farm. Here the pathway becomes a paved drive. Watch out - there may be some animals around so you may need to put dogs on the lead. Follow the drive to a Left bend. Here the North downs way continues off to the right where it becomes a sandy track between a field and some woodland.

6. Keep on the north downs way until you come to a junction. Here take a right past Conduit Farm and up the hill to the top. At the top turn right on a Bridle path past the Radio Masts on your right.
7. Look out for a gate on the right. Go through this gate and into the field. There is a sign warning of grazing animals however I haven't seen any yet so it is safe to leave dogs off lead.. Turn right and walk along the top of the field. The views up here are amazing. On a clear day you can see Wembley, Heathrow and the centre of London including the Shard. Continue through this field and the next two for over 1 mile until you get to the houses ahead. Note there are plenty of benches and dog bins here! When you get to the houses turn through the gate on your right to return to The Mount and your car.
